Italian furniture brand Edra has spent nearly 40 years redefining comfort through the thoughtful craftsmanship of timeless, high-quality sofas. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics and function, it develops furniture that encourages new ways of relaxing and living – design masterpieces that truly understand what it means to lounge.
The recently launched Anywhere sofa, designed by Francesco Binfaré, brings another piece of iconic seating into the catalogue, with an added sense of fluidity. Integrating patented Smart Cushion technology – the backrests rotate on a pivot as well as moulding to the shape of the body – the sofa stays true to its name, since it can be placed in any configuration its user wishes to obtain optimal comfort.
The Anywhere sofa is not just modular but, to use Binfaré’s term, composibile (composable). Its seven components can be used separately or joined together, allowing it to be rearranged to suit any space or layout, and each incorporates the fully adjustable backrest, so that every posture can feel free and natural. The sofa is available in many of Edra’s classic fabrics and finishes, offering further personalisation.
By combining an ethos of designing to inspire with a deeper philosophical approach towards the importance of relaxation, the Anywhere sofa strikes a balance between contemporary flair and approachability.
